first if you left that female baying for 1.5 hours in the heat and she stroked out she probably would have died if you sent that bulldog because she probably would of helped out..I am assuming you were not able to make it there because it was unaccessable...unless it was a bay that kept breaking then getting close and turning in the bulldog would more than likely have worked...just about everytime it is the good ones that stroke out because they don't have any quit in them...contrary to what many say she will hunt well again...so she is definetely a keeper.
Wipeout walker...if she has enough wipeout in her she probably will throw some pups that one day you will brag about and remember for the rest of your life...
keeping five dogs in town is doable but you need to do a few things...keep the dog kennels clean and poop shoveled out every day...I use a five gallon bucket from home depot that has a lid on it...I line it with a kitchen trash bag and dump it twice a week when the trash is picked up...
don't allow the dogs to back much...I have dogs that come by or cats that walk behind the open area so the dogs want to bark and raise cane...I keep a red rider ready to shut them up...once may not stop the behavior following up 3 or 4 times will eventually train the dogs...when you walk out the back door do not acknowledge the dogs if they bark for attention...correct them but do not walk up to the kennels and pet the dogs...only do this when they are silent and they will learn that barking will not get them anywhere...if you get on to them for barking and then you walk up and pet them then you are training this behavior (encouraging them to bark) without you realizing it...
I have a 6 foot privacy fence on each side of me and a 6 ft chain link to the south so the dogs get a good breeze in the summer...
years back I had seven dogs and 3 or 4 pups that were 6 months or so...lots of work but kept pups as long as possible to decide which to keep...
not trying to get off subject just trying to help out in this way to keep any negative attention away from you so you can keep your dogs in the city...
for me it is not about baying 10 or 20 hogs...I love my bay busters...lol, so I keep that type of dogs... no quit and bring a big boar to bay if it takes 4 hours in the heat...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
A hunting dog is born not made...
