I don’t post many pictures but I got one this morning worth posting.  I’ll have to type the write-up later on the computer. I can’t do all that on my phone.

2 years ago today I lost my Dad completely unexpected from a heart attack.  He was a great man and father and died too young at the age of 60.  So today I decided to get up and spend the morning in the woods.  I had hunt I won't soon forget.  I hunt alone a majority of the time these days which is fine by me.  If I am not alone then I have my 7 year old son tagging along and he loves it just as much if not more than me.  I hunt 2 cur dogs and an American Bulldog CD.  Not superstars by any means but we catch hogs and have fun!

This morning the dogs struck this track and took it the wrong direction for about 0.75 miles  I got them gathered up and casted them back in the same area.  The second time was the charm.  They took this boar about 0.75 miles the opposite direction and got him bayed up in some pasture on the edge of some trees.  Like I said earlier I have always hunted with only 1 CD.  But a year ago I got another American Bulldog pup from Britt Garcia.  She is about 11-12 months now and went on her first hunt about 2 weeks ago.  I had a new hunter with me this morning that has never been before so I decided to bring the young CD for some experience.  Luckily I had 2 CD's this morning.  My older CD Tink took a licking and did great.  My younger CD Trixie did good too on her second hunt in the woods with a pretty rank boar.  Thanks for reading...

Thank you Sir.  The AB in the picture is a Scott bred female dog I got from Rodney Spivey 3 years ago.  She is a good one.  So smart, well mannered, and can run all day long w no issues.  She got beat up pretty good.  We spent about an hour at the vet patching her up but she is doing better this morning.

I have pictures of the Garcia AB but for some reason the appl. wont let me post it.  I've tried 2 different pictures.  Ill try again today.

Thank you Sir.  I would guess around 300 lbs.  Maybe a little more maybe a little less.  I am not great at guessing weight.  I always undershoot when I do.  He was solid for sure.

After it was all said and done I wish I would have drug him out of there and put him on a scale but a few of the dogs took a whoopin and I wanted to get them taken care of.

That's a fine boar hog Adam... sure sorry to hear about your Dad. It was a good day to spend in the woods remembering him.
