Lost my diamond today due to a cut that turned to a bad infection. She was a sweet heart of a dog and always a pleasure to hunt. Never met to stranger this dog was like the energizer bunny and could run all day. I spent many a day and night catching hogs with her she brought joy to every one that she met was truly a dog mans dog not a super star but she would show out given the chance.  I surely will miss you girl as your where dear to my heart as any animal could be in loving memory diamond

She was catahula x fl cur. Her momma was a reg cat that came from halfbreed and her daddy is thunder he came from Sam Clemons in Florida. Her daddy was a short range go getter her momma was average at best but could hunt all day. They had 3 litters over the yrs. diamond being the best of all three litters by far. Now she was the best dog around but if you put her where there where hogs she sure enough get it done in good fashion. Her best attribute was she would shut one down fast. And be happy to have you show up to see her. I never will forget the day I took her to the Rey rosa ranch and she found and bayed 12 caught hogs by lunch time and then got 3 more that night. I never will forget her

I read an article once a one certain line stood out to me and will for the rest of my days, one of the worst injustices a dog man must go through in life is outliving his dogs, sorry for your loss JP, most will never understand the type of bond we build with our dogs....

I've always been envious of your dogs, and how well they produce pork for you. I'm really sorry on your loss, hard thing to lose a good one

I'll be the first to admit I used to be guilty of putting the "tool" label on my dogs, it was like that until I had put myself into a corner in life and then realized that they were much much more than that....
