Strike out of the box is most often called "Rigging" the dog winds an animal or a track from a vehicle of some kind. To me dogs that don't open on track are "find dogs", "strike dogs" open when they smell a track, and open or silent on track they are both bayed when they bay. But then I don't eat lunch and dinner is the noon meal, and supper is in the evening as well haha.
