Kai and his wife met me up in Madisonville this morning to get after some pasture rooters on a cattle ranch I hunt. Ended up with 2 boar hogs... 1 of them slipped out and went 3 miles up a creek. Mima, Daisy and Kai’s Pancho dog poured the coals to him the whole way. This was right at noon and it was purdy dang hot and muggy by then. By the time we got around and got him killed... he was stiff as a board from running so hard haha. We finished it off with cold beer and hot crawfish from Big E’s in Huntsville.

Looks like that was a good hunt with good guys with good dog work and than a  dang good meal with crawfish and all. I know the crawfish  was good I’m sure, but the verdict on good beer is still out ....

I had a bad experience with shiner one
Night, along with every other “exotic” beer that was on tap that we don’t normally see on tap here in southeast la, halfway through I felt great and was starting to feel like a world traveler experiencing all these new beers, by the next morning I felt as if I had literally been rolled around the world and haven’t touched it or anything else that was on the tap that night, am going to enjoy some crawfish and a cold beer tomorrow evening though, sounds like a great time...

I flew out to North Carolina to look at a machine for work a couple years back. They took us out to a nice steak house for supper. I asked the waitress for a Shiner Bock... she just looked at me funny and said “What’s that???” haha.

Imagine the looks you get when you try to order one in “Yankeeville”.

Good hog fella. It’s a good feeling when you know the dogs your carrying around can get it done. That’s a big plate lol. Shinner is good beer if you like old country dark beer
