Me my brother and a couple of buddy's decided we were going to hunt the Razor back round up I tell you I went into it thinking we had a chance but we came in at 12th with 697 lb.
First day we started on the red river it rained all day so we headed to the property about 9pm the night before thinking if the weather broke we would start right after midnight.
About 1130 pm the rain moved out and so did we I had never been there and had no idea what to expect we fought water till daylight then tried the high ground ended up catching 2 small boars nothing impressive. We headed back to my lease I had a few coming to corn we cast the dogs caught 2 good boars one was 267 gutted. After that we hit a friend of mines place caught a nice sow and were out of time went home loaded up and headed to the weigh in at the back of the line things didn't look to bad but as I walked up toward the front there was some boy had more hogs than I could catch in a month of hard hunting I told my my brother well we paid $400 to kill our best hog lol but I have to say it was fun and the thought of winning that cool belt buckle kept me going I don't know if I would do it again it was obvious we didn't have as good of spot as some of these guys but you aint gonna win if you don't try. I heard one guy paid $1600 for a dog and the first hog he bayed killed him at least all our dogs came out alive and a little better for it I think.
