He started out like a scalded ape...which I didn’t think wa good for the 1.5 mile race...then he settled into a controlled pace...and then brought it on home with authority...no doubt a great horse...
I was thinking he might be too big boned for the 1.5 miles...however he looks somewhat like Secretariat and proved to be a lot like him...just a big and powerful horse...
The jockey said the horse was laid back in the stall and that worried him...
The great athletes tend to have that trait...
