Been waiting and waiting for the hogs to find one of my fields. Told my buddy about a week ago next big rain they’d be on it. Sunday brought a few inches and Monday evening I went to check and sure enough one field had some damage in it. Made the call was gonna go that night and got hung up at work. Turned out Tuesday morning at 9:30 and my little leopard gyp sketch went to work. She casted out and went to work in a big mesquite flat south of the fields. 45min to an hour goes by and she comes bayed at about 650. Made my way to her and she never let him move. Shot a good boar off that bay. She walked to the next mesquite tree and stood another little boar up. He wanted to do a little running, made it about 350 and took a bay and we got him killed. Rolled over struck another shoat right on the netwire fence. He crawled the fence and I called her off cause I was hot and we were out of country. Real proud of this gyp. Build them don’t buy them

Mike I have grown pretty fond of the blood she comes from. Not the best by any means, but anytime you put them down you are going to get their best and that is my bottom line when it comes to a working dog.

Caught another sow yesterday evening in that same field with sketch and some pups. Casted then at about 7:45 and they struck within 10 minutes at about 300 yards. Bayed for a second and pig thought she could hit the corn and lose the dogs. She gave it her best shot. Took probably another 10-15 minutes of running her around in there but they lined her out and Bradley built swallowed an ear and everything else piled on. Was real pleased since that was every one of these dogs first time actually in the corn with a hog.
