I’ve always seasoned them up to my likings and put butter in the bottom of the pan, I’ll cut up some onions, peppers, and taters and put them in the pan as well, I cook them just seasoned and on the smoker for an hour or so to get that smoke taste and then take it off and add more seasoning as needed and put it in the pan with butter and vegetables and cover with foil and finish cooking..

Wish we could at least kill them down to reasoable numbers. They are so over populated in most areas.

I’ve hunted all up and down the pearl river from above Columbia all the way down to the marsh and spent many hours on it fishing and I’ve never seen gators like there are  now and some good size ones at that...

Your lucky, it doesn’t take a very big
One to hold a full grown dog down just below the water to drown it, they’re getting so bad around here that it’s going to take someone getting attacked to bring to attention, the Pearl River by me is one of the most recreationally used waterways in our state and there’s getting to be quite a few big ones  that  are losing their fear of humans, the smaller ones aren’t so bad but the bigger ones don’t have much fear of a boats or water traffic...

When I was a kid we swam all around the area in 4 or five different rivers without ever seeing a gator...we had gators around but they feared humans...nowadays there aren’t many places like that to swim in on account of the big gators...

There are places that are full of hogs and gators...and when the dogs bay up by the bank the gators are moving in for an easy meal...the best hog dog I ever owned was eaten by one in a place like that...after I lost him I heard all the stories of the gators eating dogs there...
