Just wanted to throw this out there for anyone looking at possibly changing feed....... I have been feeding sportsmix for quite a few years now and over time noticed that the bags were inconsistent with the feed itself being colored differently and some of it appearing really dry while another bag would be oily/greasy. I didn't worry about it much because my dogs still performed and kept well on it so I didnt change.

I started hearing about this feed called showtime through the grapevine and then as luck would have it a feed store that I drive by almost daily began carrying it. I decided to give it a try and I have to say I have been impressed with it. my dogs coats all look a bit slicker and they hunt just as good on it as they did on sportsmix. I was not worried about the $$$ difference BUT it sure is nice to buy 150lbs of showtime for 64$ instead of buying 100lbs of sportsmix for 75$  Grin

I wont lie to anyone and say it is some miracle feed but it has been working well for all of my dogs from puppies to mature dogs for over 2 months now, if you are looking to change things up I would give it a shot. I am currently feeding the showtime "best dog 24/20" but they offer multiple different varieties.

I feed the 24/20, a coffee mug full will maintain a decent size dog that isn’t being hunted much once they get used to it, I mix the black bag of showtime with the green bag of retriever from tractor supply, I use the green bag as a filler so my dogs don’t get to fat off the showtime and still get a belly full without having to worry about being to over weight or hungry,  and by mixing the two I keep my feed right under .50 cents a pound....

yessir, I have been more and more pleased with it the longer I feed it. Im feeding the best dog 24/20 and since Ive slacked off on hunting due to work I find myself having to cut back feeding them more and more. They absolutely maintain their weight on it no doubt.
