Hound/APBT Cross

I have not hunted the Kamphouse pups yet...what I do like about them is that they are fairly quick in the Bay pen and when the pig breaks and runs they shut up and give hard chase...one will be gritty one day just by watching her style of Bay...in the Bay pen when the pig breaks to run I would have liked to have seen some hard bite, sit back to stop the pig and then let go, circle and Bay...haven’t seen it yet but will put them in the Bay pen a few more times and maybe they will step up...
I am told the Kamphouse dogs can keep up with the running walkers...time will tell but these pups don’t excite me at this point in time...

The Pocahonta cross...their dam was out of the two best dogs the owner had (pure Pocahontas)...the dam is a no quit dog that relays from Hog to Hog...the pups I kept were slower to start than what I like but they were running with the big dogs pretty good at a year...just enough to keep them...and because I don’t have a yard full of good dogs I had a little more patience than normal in raising these pups...the one I liked the very best passed away from heat exhaustion...

I do know there are folks out there that really like some of the hicks bred plotts...mr Hicks raises coon dogs but he sells to bear and Hog hunters as well...
