im·pres·sion
/imˈpreSHən/
noun
noun: impression; plural noun: impressions
1. an idea, feeling, or opinion about something or someone, especially one formed without conscious thought or on the basis of little evidence.
I am one of those that won't give a pup or dog much time to give the results I expect...there is a minimum expectation I put on the pup or dog...I take many things into consideration but once I feel there is proper socialization then I will not make excuses but will cull pretty quick once the dog doesn't perform the way I like...I am not just looking at the dog as a hunting dog that I like but also a dog that has potential for breeding...if I have to give much training then I will have to do the same with the offspring one day...
I see first impressions as the natural inclination of the pup or dog...of course I take into consideration things such as at what age a certain line of dogs start etc...but even then I won't mess with a line of dogs that doesn't meet my personal standards...
Just because I don't like a pup or dog does not mean it won't make a good to great dog for someone else...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...
