As I said in my earlier post been a few years since I been on here and it’s also been a slow year for me, me and a buddy Took my dad on a hunt for his birthday in March and ended up catching 2 decent sows and a good Barr started the morning off getting the wheeler stuck in the creek because of sand, got it out and eased into the lease kicked a few dogs out on a good track and let them work there was a pretty strong wind blowing messing with them but eventually my dog hound was eased out to around 650-700 and showed treed so we head to him before we get there my smoke pup and my buddy’s ranger dog are baying with him get in as close as we can (thicket) and turn the bulldog loose it ends up being a decent sow

We get her tied and marked I eased out with the bulldog and my buddy Tj hollers he she comes the hog ran out on one side of me and hound and ranger on the other I was thinking here we go again but she turned and went one way the dogs never seen her and they went the other about 150 yards and started hammering so we get over to them and I turn the bulldog loose again hear a pop and nothing get in and all I see is a couple dogs and black everywhere I thought it was a bare hog but ended up being a very healthy sow bigger than the first

Got her marked and turned loose, so we went to the other side of the lease to a feeder where they had been tearing it up we dumped everything we had and they went nuts there was so much sign they didint know which track to take so for a half hour to 45 minutes we had dogs a couple hundred yards in every direction making loops well tjs ol ranger dog got out to about 350 and started making tight loops but never barking after about 30 minutes of this and none of the other dog doing anything we started easing to him then realized why we hadn’t heard him because the farther we walked the more it dropped down hill we got to him in a creep bend that was real steep all the other dogs had made it and started baying too then Tj hollers at me and says good hog turn the bulldog loose so I sent him heard him hit and nothing get in there and it’s a good barr we guessed him at 210-220 not huge but the biggest I’ve put hands on this year here’s some more pictures y’all enjoy
