If it was mixing paint you couldn’t make em no better. Everything falls together right this should be a pivot point for this line too hopefully carry through the next 20 something years. My uncle, as burned out on dogs as he’s seemed to be the last few years, is sure enough ready for these pups. Vet came today for ultrasound just to be on the safe side, 5 healthy pups in there from what she saw.

Glad to hear it buddy, can’t wait to throw my first litter. I’m taking my time, lining up the right dogs. Everything I have is related, just not sure which ones I want to throw to

Great looking pups!! How old do you like to start them? Can’t wait to see the updates. Are you keeping the whole litter?

There was 11 when I last counted and moved her. I’m really hoping that was all there is. She is a small framed young dog. Rather have healthy 6 than struggling 9. As for starting I let the pups kinda tell me. Some will mature earlier than others. Soon as they got their legs under them and have a half way handle I will carry them. T-dog there’s some spots under that pile buddy lol. I’m partial to the brindle too myself though.

You will need to go to TSC and buy you a tube of strongid paste for horses...you can buy generic for a few dollars cheaper...but for small pups I would go with the name brand... Start worming them no later than at 3 weeks of age and weekly until about ten weeks...
Worm the mother regularly as well on account she eats their poop to keep the whelping box clean...so this will minimize re-infestation by worming her as well...
You don't have to spend lots of time with the pups but it needs to be quality time...if they are excited to see you and want to be all over you at 5 weeks you are socializing them well enough...turn them out and let them explore and you observe their style and actions...sometimes these little observations can help in choosing the right pups...good luck with them and post their progress on here...it is work but fun work...

You can find pyrantel poamate on eBay much cheaper than anywhere else, I just bought a 32 oz bottle for 25$, same size bottle sold under the nemex brand labeled for dogs will run you around 100$ or more depending on dealer, it’s listed for pinworms in children on eBay and is a little stronger per milligram than nemex, congrats, very few things more exciting than raising, starting and hunting your own...

Spots and stripes or stars and stripes, I love'em both. Stay on the worming like these guys have said, it's extremely important. The only other advise I can give is probiotics. TSC has a tube called Jump Start. It's cheap and you can start your momma dog on them right away. You can squirt a couple clicks on her feed a day. Most likely she will eat it before she eats her feed. Then when pups start eating, you can mix a couple clicks in their feed so everyone gets some. My greyhound buddy just sold about $400,000 worth of dogs at nationals. He may have sold that many at those prices any way it went but not likely. The difference was his dogs performed because they were healthy and all the other kennels got sick. He was the only kennel that was feeding probiotics (Health Gard) daily.

So far so good. All 11 still seem to be doing good for now. She’s doing a lot better nursing than I’d have ever figured she would.

Yessir. Momma comes from a long line to a whole lot of color. Only thing that surprised me was the solid yella she threw. Somehow I took a picture of the same dog 2x and there’s a sure enough maroon male missing his picture. Can’t tell if he’s gonna be solid or brindle but he’s ugly like the rest of em

1 week in and everything seems fat and healthy. Have to give ole sketch some credit, she’s is doing far and away better with these pups than I’d have ever thought. Just from watching them a little bit so far the first male I posted is my favorite. I’ve got the 3 I’d like to keep picked out. Hopefully my uncle don’t decide he likes the same ones lol
