Y’all ever notice that there is always a fella looking for a dog then the next week he has one for sale. And it’s never 500 bucks it’s always 2500 or so. If the dog is worth that much here’s a idea keep it and hunt it.

My favorite is the guys always asking me if I got any young dogs I’ll sell or if I know where any are, they want to try and throw a decent set of dogs together and their having hell finding anything worth a number 2. Then they say they don’t believe in spending more than $300 on a dog and they can’t keep a dog longer than 2 month before they’re selling it again.

In my opinion its a pretty low form of doing business. Its one thing if you are buying dogs and then hunting them for a couple of seasons to finish them out and selling a good finished dog, but not like the guys you mentioned who are just flipping dogs a week or two after they get them. Just my two cents.

Too many people trying to screw others. I’m lucky that my mentor in this sport hunts/trains dogs for a living. So not only do I know those dogs will do what he says, and are getting hunted almost every day, I can also hunt with them often and make sure I like them or that they fit my other dogs.
