This boar has whipped us 2 times cut my old Zeus dog down few weeks ago and runs one of the hardest routes to keep up with.Today we had his number though.Hambone winded him 650yds in the middle of the head turned Hambone, Cypress and Scrub loose they head in and jump him he runs a mile north through the head to a huge deep thick wet marsh thats a mile straight across they cross it get to a head on the other side run him round and round and finally get him sat down.closest we could get was 1.43mile had to wade that nasty butt puckering over head marsh easiest paths were gator trails.Them 2 pups and Cypress kept him bayed for 2+hrs till we got there.I know it ain't much to some of yall but this hog was as hard as any I've caught and it meant a lot more seeing my pups getting it done.

X 2 on what Mike said. Nothing more satisfying then catching the hard to catch hogs. Good dogwork all the way around.

For any one that knows how hard it is to hunt in that kind of territory,,, that's a fine catch... There is some of them boars that know the game and you better have a pack with the grit,, bottom and track ability to stay with em.... We are hunting in palmettos now and it aint fun when the dogs cant see 2 ft in front of em...congrats to you man

That’s a good hunt with good dogs there cracker...I like late winter hunts because the weeds are dead and the dogs can really stop the runs in open woods...but the palmettos are green year round so it is tough hunting year round in the thick palmettos...

That’s the ones that are the most enjoyable, (once your home and cleaned up and settled in for the evening)...

That's a nice boar no doubt, glad y'all showed him who was the boss lol. Are you doing anything with him, being such a memorable hunt? Euro mount or anything?
