My late Holly dog bayed this hog and bout tore his nuts out getting him stopped a couple yrs ago so I finished the job for her I'd say he was 100lbs then.

Last yr My Zeus dog winded him off the buggy went 800yds and hung him I'd say he was 180lbs then.

Last night my Cypress dog and two of Holly's pup Hambone and Scrub ran him round and round in the palmettos and finally got him sat down and bayed.This time he was somewhere around 300lbs and had 3-4" of fat. He's getting turned into sausage this time.

That is a real good hog! How did you know it was the same one. You use a special ear mark on that one? He stay in the same area?

I barr just about every boar we catch, in one particular part of the swamp I’ve barred a pile of boars and caught quite a few back, one had about 3 years of growing and was around 125 when he was cut and was 305 the second time we caught him, caught another the next summer in there that had 3 or 4 years in between and hadn’t really changed at all, caught another in there that was about 50 lbs when he was cut and in 18 months he had grown to 256 but was just about all pearl white fat, I caught the last one 4 years ago and have been using his fat to mix in our deer sausage since then, I just rendered the last 10 lbs down into lard and have been giving the dogs some every day, funny how the same group of hogs on the same exact diet and food source all grew at different rates, most of the hunters around here except for my group of friends kill everything and blame their dogs sub par performance on “educated” hogs, very few things I enjoy more than catching a good swamp acorn fed fat boar hog for the freezer, especially if it’s one I’ve changed...

 Cajunl I caught him all three times within a quarter mile the last 2 times he ran to the same exact blown down pine in the middle of a huge palmetto patch he also had a little blonde patch on his jaw.

Goose I've Barred a pile and caught several of them back but this one was just a special one because these young dogs dead Momma bayed this hog when I made him and they got to bay him on his last stand.

We barr all our off colored hogs & try to keep the russian colored ones whole. Good job cause we dont catch many back that we barred and turned loose.
