my L3 vest has no kevlar it is strait cordura (not sure if that is felt or what it is) and I have a feeling it will hold up as good or better than any of the Kevlar vests. Kevlar is not designed to stop punctures or cutting. It does help but is not the best. I was talking to a cop that stopped us when we were hunting to check out the dogs and he said that if someone stabbed his vest with a knife it would go right through. police vests have to be 40 or more layers with how thick they are. In conclusion I dont think that kevlar is the only answer. Right now im waiting on my L3 viper cloth to see which i like better, but this cordura is gonna be hard to beat.
I hope I don't come across the wrong way but what it is with you and that L3 vest? Are you guys dating or something? Give it a rest. We know you have one and we know you LOVE it. I found this on another website......Viper Cloth is right under Kevlar, which is at the top of the material ladder, its the next best material to use in Vests besides Kevlar. If you want a top rate product, use a high grade kevlar |

I really dont give a darn what material vest is made out of, anything can be cut through, cuts happen, its a part of hog hunting. Who on here has actually had a cut through their vest that has actually killed the dog? Probably very few.
Any personally this kevlar vs. every other material is getting pretty old.

cordura is number 2. If you are running a bulldog with just that expect to loose that dog. Been there and done it. Save the 50 bucks on the vest and run it without it. I lost a dog that was wearing a ugly dog corura vest. My mistake to of even bought it. Nothing agenst UD, but a cordura vest is worthless. Wet felt and Kevler is the least you do for your bulldog. I lean towards wet felt myself. Lots of people love kevlar. Spend the extra 40 bucks and get a much better product.

One thing I have learned about hog doggin and just about every other thing in life there are pros and cons to everything and you just need to find what works for you and if you can mold it into an even better thing for you then great if not stick with what works! But did someone say everything can be cut?? I think not! I introduce RoboDog!   |
