mine?? i dont even know what it is. i traded a bay vest for it. ive had no punctures to date.
im thinking about getting the new one by uglydog..... when i find a catchdog worth that much

right now i have an uglydog guardian kevlar, before that I ran their devastator. no complaints about either. any catch dog I trust is worth that much.

I have two, both are hoot gibson, they have pokes but haven't had anything go through the second layer, just the first. I have had them for about 5 years and used alot. But when its time to replace them or get another it will be uglydog.

thats my problem. lol. i dont have a catch dog i can trust. except my pup but hes not old enough for the woods yet. |

The ones I run are made here in Southern Ok, So far not a cut through! I think the next one I buy will be from ugly dog just because I've only heard good things about them.

UglyDog Guardian Kevlars is what I am putting on a friends bull and 3/4 kevlar on my Whippet/Bull. No complaints and not a scratch on either dog!

I run a guardian kevlar and so far so good. The vest has only been on a dozen or so hogs so I can't speak to how it will hold up long term but it definately fit my dog the best of any vest I tried out and it seems to be a quality product.

HAVE A GAURDIAN FOR MY LEAD IN CD. IT DOES PRETTY GOOD ONLY BEEN CUT THROUGH THE FIRST LAYER.

Wild Boar USA has a vest to fit about any budget or type of dog you will be using as a catch dog. They will make custom fittings if they don't have what you need.
See the cost of a vest at $200.00 divided by 4 years, is only $50 a year in my calculations. I have several vests that have been in the heat of of catching big boars for well over 4 years, so I don't see why the price is such an issue.

i like the vest from valley creek. it has been a good vest and the price is reasonbile. i have looked at some of the other ones mentioned that cost more first hand, and ( and have friends that own them) i just couldnt spend twice as much money to own one.

Any vest without kevlar or felt is asking for dead dogs. Spend the money(100-300) and protect your bulldog.

my L3 vest has no kevlar it is strait cordura (not sure if that is felt or what it is) and I have a feeling it will hold up as good or better than any of the Kevlar vests. Kevlar is not designed to stop punctures or cutting. It does help but is not the best. I was talking to a cop that stopped us when we were hunting to check out the dogs and he said that if someone stabbed his vest with a knife it would go right through. police vests have to be 40 or more layers with how thick they are. In conclusion I dont think that kevlar is the only answer. Right now im waiting on my L3 viper cloth to see which i like better, but this cordura is gonna be hard to beat.
