Got another good boar on Saturday out on some WMA. I usually don’t get teeth but we’ve been on a roll lately. 3 good boars in the last 3 hunts. Got the dogs in some sign and my Dum Dum dog kept taking tracks but dropping them. So I would take him to where he dropped it and make him pick it back up. Did this a few times and he finally cut a 500yd loop and showed treed. We went through some thick stuff near that area on the way in and his collar kept losing gps so I knew he must be in the thicket. He was by himself until we got 270yds from him, that’s when the other dogs met up with him. We got in there and stuck it quick before it could start doing some damage. It’s nice watching the dogs get better every hunt, but man they’ll frustrate you lol. Between dropping the tracks, and then they all acted wore out the rest of the day and didn’t want to hunt, they started getting me frustrated. But I guess that’s how it goes sometimes when you aren’t using any finished dogs. As I do my part and put them in sign and give them woods time, they’re starting to come around and improve Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ain’t nothing wrong with that one there sir. If I could get out of the sows and little punk boar hogs I’d sure like a big toothy one right about now

Preciate it guys. I just hunt for pigs. I really could care less about getting the big trophy boar, I rather catch good sows and not put the dogs in danger. Normally we catch small boars or sows, that’s just the way it goes. The last two weeks though have been the nicest 3 boars I’ve killed

Highwater, we about got bad vet bills a week or so ago. We killed a big boar that wrecked us. Sliced up my Dum Dum dogs chest, probably 7-8 good cuts. He is still hunting and will be fine, but they’re good little cuts. And he poked my buddy’s Shooter dog real good in front of his hip and you could feel his intestines. His Lucky dog had huge flaps of skin hanging off and 10 good cuts. Had to staple her up like Frankenstein
