Me and my ol buddy Ronald Garrett went this morn to a place he’s got access to that he hasn’t hunted since last August due to deer and turkey season. Started out wh his Cash dog bayed as we were still collaring up a few dogs. We sent him some back up and once we got closer realized we had a split bay. Sent ol Ruger and sealed the deal on first hog, sow 80-100# then him and his 2 rcds rolled over to the other bay and caught it also. It was another sow about same size. Dogs rolled out from that bay and split couple different ways. Once we got back to the buggies with my cd and his 2 rcds we could hear his Sugar gyp and Rowdy bayed bayed solid! Both of them are fairly young but know how to put pork on the table!! We got closer to em and sent the cd and rcds but hog broke before they got there but didn’t make it to far! Caught hog! Another sow around 130#. Gathered up all the dogs and decided to move to another spot to look for sign and on the way found some fairy fresh rooting so put couple dogs on the ground. Once we noticed they were on em we put couple more dogs with em and it wasn’t long till we had a bay! Hog broke before cd and rcds got there and hit pipeline in front of us and ol Jett grabbed him in his jewels and stopped him n middle of it! He broke from there but didn’t make it far before we had another caught hog! He was a solid boar around 230-240#. After snapping few pics we moved on and decided we try and catch one more with our mutts! Lol! Found some sign on a branch and it wasn’t long til ol Cash had him located. Other dogs pulled to him and he broke but didn’t make it far and the cd and rcds got there and sealed the deal!! Another boar around 135-145#.  Decided we’d call it a day on that one. Hunt lasted about 2hrs.

Good hunt and I agree, I like that red catch dog. What is he? And what size dog is he?

Ol Ruger is a rednose out of a cross my buddy, Ronald, made a few different times. He prolly weighs around 55-60# and is really good natured. Kids and wife raised him in the house till around 4-5 months old, he’ll be 3yrs old on the 16th. He’s always been a straight ear dog and has a huge heart!!! In that one pic I took he wasn’t on ear but I was solo and trying to get pic as I broke him off. He’s one of best I’ve owned. Hopefully we get to breed him soon.
