Gotta love the fire in new hunters! Alex has been hunting with me a few times and is ate up with it. Two of my dogs caught a shoat on an island in a gator infested swamp. I could have toned them out, but Alex got up to his waist and said he was going. I told him he had to bring the pig back because we needed it to bait our lines haha!

I still go through whatever or do whatever is necessary if the time and situation call for it but these days if I don’t have to, I won’t, 9 times out of 10 there’s always some younger whipper snapper with some penned up testosterone with us just eager to get his hands on a hog, it sure makes the dog handling and hunting more enjoyable these days, I can remember the days I was that guy, I was somehow always the wore out and slap filthy one after a hunt...

Lol that’s some real hog hunting right there. If I have to, I’ll go. I won’t leave my dogs hanging. But man I hate messing around with the gator waters. I’d be a liar if I said it didn’t make my butthole pucker up. I guess some of you guys were just raised right there with them, they worry the hell out of my lol. My buddy Zach on the other hand is always the guinea pig to test how deep water is lmao, he’s always the first person to jump in to some sketchy looking stuff.
