Hot as crap but still going and catching a few
Caught one this morning tho that made me real proud 8-17-19
We have run this hog I know for sure 2 times this year and pretty sure 2 times last year
Just an Ol athlete of a hog
Where he has been is a big deer dog club and we catch several hogs over there but they all run like crap  and have to work hard to get em - makes it even better when you get a goodun
Well he got rope put on his feet this am !
Dang good dog work - I like catching em like that
We seen him come cross the dirt road with his Ol head dragging and said won’t be long now and the sob done - 331 yards later bayed solid caught and tied muddy n bloody

Few hogs from last few hunts

Your catching some nice pigs.   Have you had any pigs die this summer do to over heating  or had any loose the use of a leg within a day or two of being caught?

Yea man I appreciate it
We normally tie the hogs up and then try to put them in coolest place  around but sometimes it don’t always work out-
We try and keep all hogs alive but again that don’t always work out
Tht one spotted hog in above pics with out rope on her feet - she died as I was tying up her third leg so I just took rope off of her and took a pic
The big fat sow In dry corn- died not long after rope got on her feet
Any hog tht wants to get and run right now is at risk in this heat - especially after they get a belly full of the farmers peanuts of corn
But it ruff on dogs and all of us that are going still to!!!! Them heat strokes don’t play boys b careful
We have had several die this year from running em - but i think all will agree its been pretty tuff year this year

I'll put a thread up in the general section detailing the 2 major things that enable me to keep mine alive.    I think they are specific and unique to me but understanding what enables me to do it may help others tweek things to accommodate there own style and ability to keep them alive

Nothing better then catching one that has eluded you in the past. Good hogs.
