Great point Jameson......we face a lot of competition for hunting territory today. Deer hunters, turkey hunters, dove hunters, predator hunters, heli hunters, legislature wanting to legalize poison, etc. Wealthy urban population buying up ranches who are not friendly toward doggers. This very issue drives a lot of people out of hunting dogs altogether.

I fear that hunting has the potential to become a cost & access prohibitive past time.
-
The one card we have to play is that most people love dogs. Well mannered, well cared for hunting dogs with respectful owners help improve our reputation. I try real hard to represent us as good people. I can’t tell you how many people have told me they thought hog doggers were all scoundrels and criminals until they saw a few good examples of respectable dog men/women.
