Had Matt Howard and Ryan down for the past few days and had a real good time. Ryan got to break his k-bar in and they hauled a cooler full of rice fed pork home with them. Hunting was tough, the hogs were scarce, but the dogs worked their asses off to bay us a couple everyday.

Good hunt. We have some Hoosiers that come down and hunt with us. We trade out deer hunts.

Yeah... he was on some good stuff!

That’s a saw grass swamp on the backside of the rice farm. This was two different races that day that ended up in there. I’ve had this same scenario a bunch of times over the past 4 years I’ve hunted this place. If the hogs aren’t already bedded there... they’ll dang sure run to it from miles in every direction. I wish they’d burn it down.

We had bay break once just about the time we unsnapped the catch dog. The hog went out into several acres of cat tails and more hogs. We had hogs bayed in several spots but no catch dog. We called and called no catch dog. Couldn't hear a squeal or grunting and could not pick up the tracking collar. I finally climbed a tree and could see the grass shaking and moving out in the middle and went to it. He had a big boar caught and they were both hot and wore out, lol.

I thought it was an ultrasound of a bad heart worm infestation...
