My buddies got drawn for a quota hunt on a wma down here and invited me to bring my Dogs.I Brought Hambone, Rye, Ginger and Catch dog Dozer.Turned out at 5:30am Right away Hambone and Ginger head South and bay a pack at 800 Rye heads North and Gets one stopped about the same From there on out it was back to back get to one hog and another's already stopped.At 8am I said catch them dogs we had walked 5.1miles killed 8 hogs and hadn't even had time to take any pics cause how fast the pace was.Gather up and head back to the truck and grill some tenderloin and venison burgers and cap off a fine hunt with a fine meal.No big hogs but it was definitely one of them mornings that make you feel ok about what your feeding.

Looks like Toso. Used to hunt the piss out of that place, both from through the check station and from boat around back   Had many good hauls from there over the years. LOTS of hogs around that size. You know George Mathews from Christmas.

Warrent yeah it's Toso and I don't know George Mathews believe I've heard the name but don't know many of the Christmas guys.I may have taken a boat ride or two around the area in the middle of the night too.

Yes Sir, we would close down Lone Cabbage off 520 each night and then take a slow ride back to camp. Always would carry at least 2 dogs.  Caught quite a few on those late night trips back right off 520 as well as Taylor Creek Road.

Good hunt, I love those WMA hunts, that’s about the only place we go where we can get high numbers real quick, they’re so funny about when you can hunt them here that they load up with pigs

Yep Warrent there's plenty of hogs and gators down that way I hit it pretty hard a few times a year down there it's about a hr south of me.

Asteus they only open most of our wmas once or twice a year for a weekend or two so it's the same way here just have to deal with all the bs that goes along with it like dumbasses stealing hogs.

Cajun I was that's why I caught em up lol we coulda kept right on catchin hogs I was done.

Lol there's plenty to go round Cajunl that was the only hunt I'm makin in there this year .I'm covered up with work next week.

Oh yeah there’s a few spots here where everyone and their brother shows up when they open up, have to deal with people flying up and down the roads and running dogs over, people turning catch dogs loose to your bay or killing your pig, and last year I went with some buddies and we had a guy come kill our pig because one of his dogs honored our dogs, then walked off with half our dogs before we got there and killed 3 more pigs with our dogs before we could catch up and get them back. You talk about being pissed off...

There’s a few small WMA’s here that people don’t know about, I can count on one hand how many people know where the pigs are there, that’s about the only WMA I’ll hunt now. Nobody else there and it’s awesome hunting

Heckuva hunt! I miss hunting the WMA land all around my house. They used to give us two months a year after deer season... shut down the dog hunting back in 09.
