Myself, WOW, our buddy Ben, and my 9 year old all made a hunt Sunday morning. We just took young dogs because WOW kept us out partying all night the night before. Went to bed and back up to hunt 2 hours later, not a good idea! Toby Keith, I'm not as good as I once was and I dont know if I'm as good once as I ever was lol. We cast them  and 10 minutes or less we were bayed. I had a dog of a friends along that he wanted me to start for him. So I send him to the bay and he decides to walk up and try to smell the hog. Of course that provokes the other dogs and the hog as well and it breaks. He run us into a group at about 6 or 700 yards away. We get there and they have a small hog stretched in the water. My boy legged it and struck it and the dogs left. This time they went about 3 different directions. Ava bayed a sow about 200 yards from the truck and I tried to get the buddies dog to go in to her. He finally did but still didn't understand and busted another bay. Well the sow messed up because she hit open ground and Ava and the buddies dog were hot on her and got her stopped in the open. This time a couple barks from the new dog and then he caught this sow (160-170ish). Of course the new dog doesn't want to leave the dead hog and Ava puts up bayed again so we lead him over there towards her. We send him again and this time he's baying pretty good and then he catches again. No squeal but the woods came alive. Hogs were dog piling and rallied and knocked him loose. He says "no mas" and left lie his tail was on fire, ears were pinned  back, tail tucked, and ran harder than he had all day all the way back to the truck. All we wound up with were some pigs out of that deal. I wasn't happy about that but sometimes it just happens like that. We caught dogs and went home.

Good hunt for the young dogs and you cannot beat having your son along. Parenting done right.

Sounds like the dogs did the deal! Waking up with two hours of sleep after a night out is hard on a hunter lol.

Cracker I was gonna use the boy one way or the other. Either he was gonna leg the hog or I was gonna have to use him like a lure and when the hog bit, reel them in.
