Went back to the refuge and rigged the dogs to where we were wanting to hunt. They didn’t open on anything, got to where we were wanting to kick out, and dumped them. My ol Possum dog opened and went 400 to the North. He was working it backwards and came back across the road when you could tell he had it. Reset his tracks and they took this bad boy 6.2 miles and bayed him, for good. They had bayed him a half dozen times but couldn’t hold him. The silent dogs kept sending off the bark indicator, cause it was a walking bay several times. Got to 40 yards from them and sent the bulldog, he never saw the hog and the hog broke to us, w scattered a little, he went 30 yards and was caught. When we got to him he was sprawled out on his belly. Never squealed one time. Moved on and they opened from the truck and put our hands on 4 small shoats. Dogs must have killed at least a dozen more. Good day.

That was the furthest I, personally had ever had to run one. Them dogs showed a lot of bottom and stick on that hog. No dog except the Possum dog is older than 2. Two of the cur dogs actually stopped him. I told the guys when you bay a hog like that on public hunting, it’s a good day. Guess him at 200 plus.
