I caught an old warrior this morning that I’ve have been after for many, many years. He’s wrecked my dogs, friend’s dogs and run for miles to dump them on other hogs. I’ve chased on my buggy several times as he crossed pastures trying to turn him back... but he would just charge me and keep going where he wanted to go haha. He teeth were black and rotted out... ears tattered from all the dog encounters. He busted out of a blow down this morning when we sent the bulldogs. I got ahead of him and dropped two fresh dogs on him... his ol mouth was hanging open when he ran by. They put the heat on him and about 500 yards later had him bayed in a tank before he hit the woods.

Good job, Mike. Glad you got him. I like those worthy adversaries. A guy has to really respect what it takes for hogs like that to meet their match.

Thanks fellas! I’m sure glad to finally put my hands on him. I figured he may have gotten killed or died from old age, it’s been a while since I’ve had a run in with him. I guess his old age is what did him in. He blew through the bulldogs, got ahead of the dogs in a thicket  and had about a 400 yard lead on them when he crossed a hay field. He hadn’t gone mile and was sucking wind and I’ve seen him go miles and never hit the brakes.

T-dog I don’t know? I guess I’ll get back after the sows and shoats hahaha!

Mike,
Is that the same boar you had a video of you chasing him down a fence line in your buggy a few years back? Glad you got him, and I’m sure he’s passed his genes on more than plenty.
