Had some bear hunting buddies of mine that came and hunted with me from West Va. and UP of Mi. Joe Hudson and Kip Cota from the Up. Joe and Vernon Walker from W. Va. Tom Telford from Illinois who is 82 years young and on oxygen still loves it and we will take him as long as he wants to go. Did not set any records but caught 22 in 5 days of hunting. Got rained out a couple of days. Also had my buddies Charlie, Larry Smith,Jordan and mike the knife. Some hogs not pictured because they were in different boats. We counted up 240 years of Plott experience with Tom Telford having about 60 years of Plotts.

The stories we heard was the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God, lol but I did have my high water boots on cause some of it was getting deep. haha  We had a great time, talking about dogs, bears and hogs. I always look forward to these guys coming down. At one point We were running a hog on a island about 900 yards long by about 500 yards deep. Had another hog going on the opposite shore that kept going back and forth. Tom who is 82 was in his glory listening to both races and heard the squeall from both sows when the hogs were caught. Tom is on oxygen and cannot get around as well as he used to but as long as he wants to go with us, we will sure accommodate him.

Sure enough sounds like a good time. Definitely times that won't be forgotten. EPA would probably get involved if I had that many of my buddies together at once. Its illegal to dump that much BS. I'm betting y'all weren't far from it.

I know those two mountaineers very well, hunt with them every fall, they are fine folks and can be quite entertaining, bet you guys had a ball. I have never met Mr. Telford but everyone I mean everyone speaks highly of him, he and Everett Weems were neighbors and friends I had heard Everett speak of him numerous times, he would be a wealth of history and information on past Plotts and hunting in general, I figure you guys enjoyed him greatly. Really sorry I wasn't able to make it down, but there is always another time and if there isn't we won't be worried about hog huntin anyway. Congratulations on a good get together and hunt Mike.
