I got invited tomorrow hunt with Donald Noland and his Dad Donald Sr. Also on the hunt was Johnny and Mike the Knife.  We looked and looked and just could not find any fresh sign. About 11:00 we got a faint strike from Hank. I put down Hank and Hillbilly and naturally they go in opposite directions. Hillbilly was about 250 yards in and started opening. Wasn’t long and he was jumped. Hank was trying to get there but he was 350 yards in the hole. One of the fastest races I have listened too. Sounded more like a bear race. Those boys up ahead ended up packing to Hank thinking he was the lead dog and now we had about 5 dogs 400 r so yards behind Hillbilly. We caught them at the next road and I was able to get Showtime and Hank in. They ran him another hour and bayed. Donald sent his bulldog in and caught hog. Mike the knife and Donald went into the big pond and got. (Lucky devils) Boar weighed 244# on the hoof.

Heck of a hog man.  Boy it sounds good when they lighting a fire behind one.   Somebody told me one time that a feller couldn’t bay a hog when dogs were barking on track LOL.

Cracker, There are not many dogs that can get the jump on Hank but Hillbilly had his day. Of course Hank put in 9 or 10 miles the day before and a lot of swimming. We ran a good boar for a while before he hit the backwater of Pearl river .
