I just pic them off and dont treat with any chemical. For fleas Bayer tree and shrub from any hardware store where the first ingredient is Imiad... is the same ingredient as front line, I put a cap full on the dogs back or belly and have them avoid water for 24 hrs just like you do with front line and it works great except a $15 bottle lasts my 6 dogs several years
