I agree with you t-dog for the Imidlaclorpid as it gets in their blood stream through the skin. The Fipronil works through the oil glands and does better down the back. I usually wipe the syringe on the top of their ears in the summertime and it seems to keep the flies from biting them there. In wintertime I put a little inside their ear flaps to keep the ear mites down that they invariably would get out of the bedding, I don't bed them in summer, so don't ever have any ear mites in summer.
