We made a round on a joining lease this morning to try a new area that a guy told us that he had seen a little hog sign on the day before. We ended up finding a decent track from after the rain and turned out on it. It took a little bit but I could tell the dogs could smell it and one ended bayed solo.. Hog broke when another dog got in there then we had a race. After about two hours two dogs showed bayed. Well once two others made it in there that were behind a little I told my buddy we going to see if he breaks now. They showed treed so I knew they were getting up close and personal. We got in there and I knew they were trying him. Sent the catch dogs and sealed the deal in a aweful thicket... We got him to the bike and had two dogs about 900 yards and hooked up to the long range and they showed treed as well. We ran around and caught it to a 70lb sow. I think I am down four dogs for a bit but two are out longer than others. Over all it was a good cool morning.  Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
