After finding an article written by Jackalsoldcountryblood.com I remembered reading about these dogs years ago.
With a little digging I was lucky enough to meet the man in charge of the registry and owner of some of the last of these awesome dogs.

I will be working with him helping to save the breed. There are no pups available at this time, but if you are interested in future breedings send me a private message and I will keep you informed.

I will post more videos and photos as soon as I figure out how!

Man, I remember 6 years ago when I first got into dogs, trying to track a few of these down because if for nothing else they had a cool name and I had to have one. At the time I was a broke high school junior and the few litters I located were too far and rich for my blood. Present day, I’m not a junior anymore but still just as broke, but I would definitely love to read anything you are willing to share as far as the story of these dogs and where they are at present day.

I like terriers...usually have one around...

This terrier looks like a Welch or Lakeland...looks more like the Welch Terrier...

Can you post the breeds that make up this terrier and breed standard for weight and size etc.?

" The new dog is bobtailed like a Terrier and is very alert and eager to hunt. An adult dog stands 12 to 15 in. high at the shoulder and weighs 20 to 30 lbs. The color pattern is solid red or black and tan.   The breed got its start after an accidental cross. The original dam was a small "Treeing Walker" that was bred to Guthrie's neighbor's purebred Schnauzer. "The pups of that cross were found to be good hunters with the scenting abilities of the Treeing Walker and the agility and alertness of the Schnauzer," says Guthrie. Later he bred the dogs to Fox Terriers and Patterdale Terriers. To give the dog more muscle mass, he then crossed to an American Staffordshire Terrier. The result was the finished Texas Terrier."

 Horses for courses...

Not here for a pissing contest these dogs have stayed around for a reason.

I would bet they have plenty of coyotes where I saw these dogs being worked (Brown/San Saba county) and for hogs them being run 4 or more with a running catchdog or two helps.

Some video clips of T-bows homecoming.
T-bow was a dog living as a pet for 4 years or so, we dropped him with the pack in the field after introducing him to Tuffy (lead dog) and seeing some interest from him in a penned hog.

T-bow was greeted by the pack and he the woods and ranged out with the other dogs like he had been doing it this whole time.

In this last video we are moving the dogs past an area with live stock off in shade, Doc left his whistle on the ATV so I made do for him!
