Well, the gator that broke me off last year and pulled the hook a couple weeks back met his maker today. Ol Chris Hearne sent some lead thru his head this morning. He was 10’1” and had a big ol head on him...

Great job. Wish they would allow more to be harvested. They are way over populated.

Can I get a pair of boots out him, or at least a wallet? Thanks in advance.

Did you shoot it after it was on a line or  stalking it like you would a deer?

Yes sir... caught on hook and line, then shot. Chris’s wife Heather cut and vacuum sealed gator meat all day yesterday haha.

X2 on great job...

Cajun...you are right on the gator over population...once a gator gets a certain size it doesn’t have natural predators other than other gators...

So we have dumba$$es wanting to protect them but they have gone overboard with it...I bet they eat all kinds of wildlife including baby ducks and other waterfowl...they need to increase the number of gators taken per year...

When I was growing up we swam in many areas in the rivers near by as well as lakes In the surrounding area and never thought about gators...no one swims those places anymore on account of the many gators...

We just measure them from the tip of their snout to the tip of their tail with a tape measure.

He sure had the head of a bigger gator... I was thinking 11’ - 12’ on him.
