Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...

Quick I remember baying a good boar up around Jacksonville Tx one time. We had a sure enough good catch dog and he was a straight ear dog. Of course it was thick so even from a few feet away we couldn't see what we were sending him in on. After missing him about 3 times and having to get him stopped again and again, he caught him on the jaw. He was missing because there was no ear on either side to catch. It was healed over slick so it had been that way a while. I just wonder how many dogs he had gotten away from?
