Made a hunt with my buddies, Larry, Charlie, Mike the Knife, Pat and a couple others. Started off with a bang. Dogs rigged and we cut 4 or 5 loose and they went almost 500 yards and bayed about a 150# boar in the thickest briar patch you can imagine. Turned bulldogs loose and he was caught. For not having any tuskslonger then 3/4” he left his mark on all of them.  Moved down the road and turned out and Charlie’s Gumbo dog jumped one. Other dogs got there and they caught it right in the middle of the road. Could not stop the next one and we called it a day. Next morning we went to a feeder and turned loose.  Ended up baying a 225# Barr and caught him. Went to a different area and Amber trailed out about 6/10 mile and bayed. Other dogs got to her and it broke. We had about 6 different races and Charlie ended up catching a 90 lber. We ended up catching dogs of after a couple hours because those shoats were running them ragged in that cutover.

Yessir it’s hot ain’t it.  Fine dog work to finish a track in this heat.

Clue, Her sire is Showboat and she got some of his nose. Her Dam is Reba who belonged to John Dove. She was Shamrock and Dale Burnside breeding. Most of the litter made some pretty nice dogs on both bear and hogs.
