Went on a short morning hunt last Saturday. Took a few youngins: Penny a high tan July x catahoula and Lil Bit a black and tan catahoula, and the veteran Brie, and Bleu and Pacman to catch. Not a lot of sign at all, Penny finally takes a track and loops around with Brie meeting her from a different way. They bay then break apart. Lil bit didn’t really know what to do and last time we had her out we accidentally ran her over......  they loop towards a wet spot on the property and bay again so we haul to them. Get Bleu out and they quit baying and break up again. Turns out they got on some stinkin shoats, Brie took care if hers then went and took care of the one Penny was baying. They looped back out hunting towards a county road and got into this nasty swampy stuff, huntin huntin looped back away from the road and we drove around to where we figured they’d be close, hooped em back to us and called it a morning cuz it was getting a little warm for em to be running much longer. I had a spider hitchhiker for a bit, and found some teeny catfish in a hole with some amazingly large leeches. Tried to catch the catfish in my hands but apparently it just wasn’t a catching kinda day. Thanks for reading!

Man that Hi Tan sure is pretty. I love hi tans and saddlebacks. Did you breed her?

Even though you didn't catch the hog you wanted still sounds like a good morning.

Yes sir t-dog, dogs and I have been dying to get in the woods, we’ve been so busy lately we just decided to put some things on hold to go lol. It’s always good in the woods!!

Thank you Hollowpoint, he deserved his own vest instead of a hand me down from a buddy that was a little worn out...tie wire and old collar bits were holding it together  laugh

Rednose yes sir she’s probably my best looking dog, no sir I didn’t breed her. We got her from some folks in Mississippi as a pup, she’s doing well. Not as rough as I’m used to but I’m seeing the benefit to looser dogs, except the shoat baying. Personally don’t want to walk into something my dogs usually take care of on their own, main reason I like smart rough dogs  Cool

It was a great day, I kind of really enjoyed the catfishes, it was fun splashing around in the water lmbo  Grin  Grin
