My buddy Charlie and I went up to Wisconsin and ran dogs with Dan and Jonah Place. The weather felt like heaven. High 40’s in the morning and 70-75 in the afternoon. First day hunted with Dan and got on a runner. Put 20+ miles on the dogs. Jonah treed one after about a hour race. Next day we got on a mean one and he was running dogs pretty bad. We went in and caught dogs off. Jonah also treed another one. They had to go to work for the week so Charlie and I put down and trailed out and jumped. Ran this one about a hour and a half and treed it not 20 yards off the road. Tom Telford who is 82 made one more tree. I am slapping myself for not getting a pic of him at the tree. Greg Michel s who is 80 was also at the tree. Greg always says one more tree whenever he gets there. No telling how many trees those two have walked into. Next day we put down and trailed thru 3 baits. By the 3rd bait the dogs were moving it pretty good and jumped him after they crossed the road. Ran him about a hour and treed him. Next day Charlie and I got on another runner. Put 21 miles on the dogs and they were worn out. Jonah and Dan came the next day and they each treed a bear. We never turned out because we wanted to leave by noon. Had a great time up there.

Sounds and looks like a great time. Enjoy those "experienced" guys, they are gone way too soon. If they lived to be 200 hundred it would still be the case.

Thanks guys. Muddy that buckskin and the others that Dan is holding are his dogs and they are related to your female top and bottom. That buckskin's Daddy was off of my Trouble female. That would make him a half brother to your female. Trouble  was a really nice producer. Dan, Jonah and Andy are all line breeding on my old Trapper dog that I sold Andy's Dad several years back. He really left his mark up there.
The single dog looking straight at us is Hillbilly. The profile of the brindle dog with the MC on the side is my Hank dog.
Had a great time and sure didnt want to come home to the heat and humidity.

Yep, even tho Dan is a Cheesehead from Wisc., He has great taste in college football. He has always been a die hard Tiger fan.
