Had some good friends come down and hunted with us over the weekend. Greg Michel and his son Greg Jr.  Charlie Gaines, Larry Smith and Mike the knife we’re all along. Saturday we caught 4 but we had 3 hogs with one of them a good beat us across the bayou and we had to pull dogs because of the highway  Sunday we had a action non stop and caught 7. Dogs were wore out

Highwater , you’ll notice here in a couple months ole Cajun will slack off on the hunting. It’s not because he wants to but because if he continues, he won’t have any hogs. He catches them down to just a hand full of seed stock and then he has to let them repopulate. So he will probably be accepting of hunting invitations then.

Good mess of hogs Cajun. Sounds like a heck of a time.

Ha T dog, if you notice the swamp in the background of those pictures. We will get a 1/2 dozen or so strikes on our way to the marsh.  Nobody and I mean nobody turns loose in there. It is sink a foot to waist deep walking in there and that is why there will always be hogs in there.
We hunt the marsh in the winter to train young dogs and it is the easiest hoghunting you will ever do. No cutovers to crawl thru and basicly the hogs dont run far before they bay up or get caught. Once it warms up and the gators come out it is back to the real world and the tuff hunting.
Muddy, I only butcher a couple of hogs a year. We give most of it away. None goes to waste.

Good hunts Cajun... we saw a big  gator out sunning yesterday. It won’t be long and they’ll be everywhere.

Mike, I really despise those things. When the gators come out, that means the end of the easy hunting and we have to start hitting the cutovers.
