Well man what a good morning
Seen three tracks since the rain - all crossing a dirt road
They were all bout a mile apart from each other

Put out on first one bout 745 or so and knew Jemima could smell it - she took it through a big branch cross a paved road and parallel down a field and knew about Wher she should bay at -she did a few loops and I said she should have it boys! I was wrong- this field got real nice fence all the way around it and almost at the end on the edge it real thick and that’s where he I thought shoulda been - she turned and went across the field and to the other side and back towards the paved road - and that is not what I wanted her to do- - don’t know how she got though fence-pile of cows in ther and bout where she was headed is a feed station and I just figured she was off the track now and just messing around.-  I toned her out and went back to Wher I thought the hog should been and started her over - - she took the same route and went back across the field and into that same dang small little head- I was getting pissed - I said at this point I’m just gone let her work and just it’s whatever let her roll - I got back to truck and she had done showed sitting down on the garmin and I’m thinking I’m gone beat the snot out of her - she ain’t but 225 yards off highway in a small head in the cow field- but I’m like 900 yards from her- just knew I was probably gone get in trouble - I pull close as I can and hear her baying- I’m thinking this ain’t no dang hog! I walk to her mad as fire and I’m in the broad way wide open  can see 200 yards and ther she was she had mr boar hog bayed - Ive hunted her enuff to not doubt her but I did this am and she proved me wrong - turn out from all the rain it washed a big gulley out under fence and that’s where he went-farmer came down and was nice and let us go through to get the hog - we have caught hogs for him before I had just forgot about it-

No it’s 10 am or so and we figured we try the biggest of the other tracks- weren’t sure if we would be able to smell it or not - but put ol Jemima down and it was clear she could smell it - she took it through a pine thicket and to the edge of a field down the field to a creek and back in thicket made a couple loops and sat down and bayed - real real thick dang good tracking on her part we just sat a truck and watched the garmin till she bayed and we haul butt to her - we was all but certain it was gone happen by watching her on the garmin and it did -the bulldogs made a good catch and really a good catch on both hogs - just really fun when dogs do good - nobody hurt and on the way to get a good lunch!

Moral of story- sometimes our dogs smarter than us lol-  NO DOUBT
Thanks for reading

Oh yea we think this one was just a dang big guilt that’s why she was by herself - big ol gal to!

This was the first one

Man that’s awesome muddy! I can’t believe you doubted her though. You’re the first hunter that has ever doubted their dog. I hope you learned your lesson lol. It really is rewarding when your dogs, catch dogs or find dogs, pass “ the test” so to speak. She sure sounds nice and be dang if she ain’t purdy.

Yessir.  Fine hunt and a lesson that I have learned too man.  I guess since I’ve hunted more culls then hog dogs I still have to check my doubt about em some times.  Lol.   She done what most couldn’t do and that’s what the great ones pull off.   Congrats on a fine hunt.

Muddy, that sure was some fine dog work. Since you doubt her so much I know what a disappointment she must be to you so I will take her back.I'll come get her pronto.

Yes siree Ol'Jemima showed out today. I'm bad to doubt what they are doing when I think I know what they should be doing too. Makes us glad to be wrong haha.
