Caught a couple of black sows today and riding out of there on the mules saw a good spotted boar cross way down in front of us, cut the dogs to him and had a big race, lost comms with them and next time we picked them up whey were bayed but it was another sow, ol'boar hog done it again haha. Have been several times since last post and the same story sows and pigs. Ain't nothing getting cut up though.

The big boys are more exciting but usually leave something licking their wounds lol. Big or small, good dog work is a good hunt. We have a lot of pigs right now too. It does get frustrating sometimes.

Count your blessings on not getting cut down. Seems to come in spurts on the boars. It will be sows and pigs for a while and then a boar or two. Sounds like some really good dog work Clue and a rewarding hunt.

Ol'Tanner "the one in the dark jacket and cap" has went hog wild, he has hunted with us some in the past but didn't stay with it, he's a fireman and did rodeo hard bulldogging, until he got hurt really bad a couple of years ago and had to quit rodeoing, when he got to where he could get around he started playing golf of all things haha well he got to where he could ride and walk enough to hunt and wanted to go with us again so he has and since he has gathered up some dogs of his own. He got a mature Plott female from another rodeo hand that hog hunts "fortunately she is a good female" often folks just getting started struggle to find a good one, and he found some real nice 6 month old Plott pups that go back to Cajun's Spud dog, and the William's White hollow Rocky dog, he is a fine young man and for the time being is ate up with this hog hunting deal. He may want to bear hunt some, he's been asking about it and whether or not he'd need a gun or some bear spray hahaha. I'll tell him Bulldoggers have to hunt bare handed or with a switch haha.

I was wanting to catch a decent boar or two and since this I got my wish, we caught a couple and the one in the Grandson's hunt whacked 4 dogs up a little bit. Had the dogs paired wrong for baying something with teeth haha, and was figuring on a split group.

Yes with these line bred bmcs from you and spivey ive been running for 10+ yrs now I seem to have better luck with females not getting cut. I had one male that never did but my male now hunts great but seems to always get poked up but nothing serious so far...
