Very nice. How often do those little devils try to catch out?

Jsh these dogs ain’t winning any bay pen contests from what I have seen lol However they are not Kamakazis They hunt close 2-300 yards and are hunted with 1-2 RCD’s so help is never far behind. Doc the custodian of the breed and the packs owner doesn’t even run GPS. His hunting dogs are trained to recall, get ahead etc. with whistle commands. I have been constantly impressed by the handle, versatility and drive on these little dogs, the creator Red Guthrie put his heart and soul into the breeding and it shows. Tdog Doc says he has not lost one to coyotes yet and I think the pack size may play a part in that. I know Doc has lost dogs to rattlesnakes and poison baits, and in Red’s stud book he mentions dogs that died from hogs, boar coons (drowned) and heat stroke but no coyotes. Aaron owner of the Tbow dog is planning on working him on coyote dens, really excited to see how that goes it would be another feather in these dog’s hat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Without knowing I would have guessed those dogs to have been Jagdterrier and Airedale crossed. I did read an earlier post that explained what was in them.

I've been interested in the Gutherie terrier breed for a while. It was nice to see they're still around. Yes, I used to see them at some bay pen comps when I was living in Texas.
