Made a couple runs last week and last night. Caught a few. Got out ran a couple times. Red Dog has rigged a couple. Little Gyp still busting up groups like a cue ball. Learning to enjoy the night shift. Best boar below. Red dog bayed him solo while the gyp was off chasin shoats. Got 50 yards out and cut Carlos & Jet. They connected. Caught this white boar on the way back to the truck. Sandy started the track. Rousty pitched in and they got bayed around 250 out in a bad briar thicket. Sent Carlos & Jet from 37 yards. They connected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Caught this boar after a 1.5 mile race. Sandy started the track and took it about 300 yards. She was about to give it up when Rousty got there. They packed up and trailed another 200 yards and jumped him. Ran him for 1.5 and bayed him in the open on a fence. Cut Carlos & Jet from 30 yards. Caught hog. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You’re a lucky man being able to go right now but I don’t want to go bad enough to night hunt. It just doesn’t appeal to me anymore. Guess I’ve gotten old. Nice hogs and sounds like good dog work.

Good hogs and dogwork. I have not hunted at night in probably 15 years or hunted solo in that time frame and that used to be my favorite way to hunt. T Dog just thinks he is getting old. I know I am. lol

Sound like good hunts shotgun and nice hogs
It ain’t nothing to do with age as far as night hunting goes - I ain’t hunted at night in probably 12 years or more and don’t care to and I’m not old lol That was the only way to hunt I thought at one time and did love it - but think I got burnt out on it - went 4 nights a week for a long time - now I just live through folks like shotgun Thanks for sharing !

Thanks Fellas. I prefer to hunt during the day as well. I hunt at night this time of year to stay out of the deer hunters way. It gets dark early enough to get a 2 hour hunt in and be home in bed by a decent hour. We get some really nice weather here in North Texas this time of year as well. I pick my spots and try to avoid the extra thick, briar infested country. It helps refine and push a young dog forward. You’ll find out if your dogs are trash broke huntin at night! - Better pic of that good boar…… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Catching some good hogs bud, looks like a good time to me! I don't mind hunting at night at all. Stay after them.
