Lol I got all fired up over my young dogs the other day then I got jealous of Heather and Mikes hunt. I tossed and turned and lost sleep with the fever for a couple days so I got my nephew Dillian, my NATIONAL CHAMP BARBIE, and my youngest boy to make a run. I took my two 1 year olds and their momma Raylynn and Dillian brought Zeke and Moon. We bayed a group and they finally busted. When they did, one of pups Ranger bayed a boar solo. We caught it and the other dogs had a sow caught. We caught the dogs up because we were getting near the end of our permission boundary. We cast Raylynn and the pups in another set of gravy woods. It’s kinda like an island because there’s nothing but pasture around this 3-5 acre set of woods. Literally 20 seconds on the ground and they were baying. Hogs broke immediately and the two pups bayed a boar out of it. Kyle(Barbie) and Slayde went and caught one hog while me and Dillian went to the pups. Man I was proud of them. They bayed hard and we’re working the hog. He didn’t want to stay but they weren’t giving him an option. They have big loud houndy mouths too. So 4 on the morning. It was fun and nice to be back in the woods.

These are their two boars. Nothing special but good hogs for the youngsters.

Thanks guys. I have huge expectations for this batch of pups. I really think they could be the best I’ve raised, which isn’t saying a whole lot. The feed back I’m getting on the others out of the litter is very promising. They have lit my fire for sure.

Nice hunt bud. Glad to hear you are liking the pups. I’m sure seeing dogs you bred work well is very satisfying. I know a guy looking for a nice gyp if you ever decide to part with one……
