In a little over a year Valu Pak black bag went from 30 bucks a bag to almost 43 dollars for a bag…

NLA Hunter I wish we could get Pride here in north Texas………sure would like to try it.

Reuben how did your dogs do on the black sack of Valu Pak?  Mine liked it, but they just didn’t hold well no matter how much I fed them. The dealer here only sells the black bag and the silver bag. Silver was $2 more, but they look a lot better on it.

Jsh…my dogs are doing fairly good on the VALU PAK black bag…my 9 week old pups are looking about as good as pups could look feeding them from the black bag…their coats are slick and shiny…

I am now paying $44.59 for a 50# bag…and it is about the cheapest I’ve found for the black bag…

Many say good things about pride dog food and the prices are lower than other comparable dog foods…I would like to try it but we don’t have any vendors that carry it in my area…

Uhhhh weeeee y’all rich folks! If you only have 3-4 dogs I can see paying it, but any more than that and that starts adding up pretty quick. I’m paying $36/50 for the showtime 24/20. So far it’s been doing a good job as far as the dogs looking good. I tried to switch over to the River Run 24/20 recently because it was several dollars a sack cheaper. It ran alright, right through my dogs. I gradually switched them onto it and instantly their stools were very loose. By the time I was feeding it by itself I was having to feed half again as much just to maintain the same body weights. They also didn’t like it as well. I stuck with it for a while but they never adjusted and I got tired of the cow patties. They were getting more feed so naturally they were using the bathroom more. More trips and more volume that didn’t have any form on top having to feed a lot more didn’t justify the price savings. I was probably spending as much or more because of feeding more. I’ll stick with the Showtime until they price themselves out of business with me.

I liked the black gold when I fed it years ago. I don’t know if it’s still the same quality

T dog  lol That is a 2013 and has been paid off since 2016.  With the prices of New trucks, I believe I will be driving that truck the rest of my life unless I sell my dogs and then I can up my standard of living. lol

I feed black gold $33-35 a sack. Started out at $30 6-8 months ago. I feed 4 bags a week and my dogs dog great on it. Do even better when hunting they seem to have more energy and don’t burn out like other feed. As long as I can afford it I’ll feed it. Pretty much the same thing as showtime but it’s 26/18.
I feed sportsmix when they are out it’s running $30-$33 no tax but i hate the fact feeding it knowing it’s been recalled 9+ times.

I fed sportsmix for many years and all of a sudden my dogs lost weight and I had to increase feed…and then several had severe ear infections…I treated for ear mites and no improvement…I swapped feeds and all dogs were doing better after the first week and back to normal after about a month…there wasn’t a recall at that time…

Lol I hear ya Cajun, it’s ridiculous how high they’ve gotten. Your old truck does look good though. You obviously take care of it. How long does a pallet last you Cajun?

Yup I fed the blue bag for months. Dogs done great then with in a few days they looked like they haven’t been fed in a week! So I swapped to Black gold and haven’t looked back.
Red bag valu pack done the same thing.
