Got high hopes for this pup. I bred Showtime back to his mother Amber. Both dogs have cold noses and a lot of drive. Time will tell. Double bred on my Showboat dog. Amber is 9 years old and only raised two pups so this might b her last litter. Going to name her Showgirl.

She’s got a gorgeous head shape, nice ear, and sure looks like there’s a lot going on in those eyes. I hope she works out for ya. If you by chance get one more try at her momma, you might consider a border collie stud! Just sayin, they’re purdy nice, lol.

Just curious, but you told us you basically blended 3 families. Does this cross go back towards any particular one of the three a little more? I know you said it’s doubled up on Showboat, which I assume is a good thing or a fella like you wouldn’t do it, but I’m not familiar with his ped.

Amber is only 1/2 my breeding being out of Showboat. The other 1/2 is Shamrock and a Weems bred dog so basicly Weems. Showtime is out os Amber and my Hillbilly dog that made his way over your way. Hillbilly is out of my Jack dog and a beardog female out of Tn. I would have to be a math major to figure out exactly how much of that is my breeding but since I already have a lot of Weems in my dogs it would probably be safe to say they go back to 3/4 Weems and the rest would be Swampland that also goes back to a lot of Weems bred dogs.

Lol that sneaky ole hillbilly. That makes sense. Sounds like you might have a pretty good idea of what she could potentially turn out like. I wish you the best with her.

That's a nice puppy, But I don't remember seeing her when I was there.

She would have been about 5 weeks when you were here. She was probably in the barn. Funny note, Amber is a red brindle and Showtime is a brown brindle. She had about 8 or so during the night most of them brindled up pups and only two black with brindle trim. She either layed on them or didnt lick them clean but they were all dead except the two black ones. Both Blacks were females and I kept one and sent one to Joe Hudson up in Michigan.
Thanks everyone. Hopefully they will live up to my expectations.

Thanks Toby. If you look at the pedegrees on my dogs while most of them will say Bayou Cajun, sometimes you will see a dog in there that is not my breeding. If I have hunted with a good dog or hear of a really good dog and think it will help my program I will sure breed to it. Most of my outcrosses are back to Weems bred dogs (Shamrock or Randy Miller breeding) Since I have a lot of Weems in them already it is really not a outcross but distant linebreeding.

Cajun, what are the differences in the different lines you used to make your dogs?

The puppies in the barn were the litter of those I hauled up here for Josh and Joe, maybe she was in the small brooder there on the end of the kennels, I didn't really look in there.
