We made hunt this morning. One of my buddies dogs got over a pretty good ways from us. We could see where he’d be bayed and then it would break bay. He was right in a corner where 3 places I hunt come together and have hunted for many years. We finally got all the other dogs caught and had driven around to him. Again he bayed and was only about 300 yards from us. Before we could get there he it broke and he bayed again about 400+. We drove up and were within about 200 yards probably when he number 2 up and we lost communication with his collar. We had a dog stolen a few years ago out of that exact same spot and got him back. Can’t say for sure he was taken by anyone but I’d bet on it. We’ve walked and walked and crawled and drove and called and called but no dog. It’s like he vanished into thin air. I’ve seen this before and I don’t like. If someone found him and wants to return him, he has a name tag and number on his collar or you can just turn his collar back on and we’ll get him. It may take time but we’ll find him. People talk and social media is SOB. If I can guarantee anything it’s that there will be consequences if we have to go about things the hard way. If any of you see or hear of someone finding a red hog dog or hear of someone acquiring a new red hog dog please let me know. It happened in the Rockdale, Tx area. Here’s a picture of him.

I was right. A POS did take him. He didn’t voluntarily give him back. I can promise y’all I’m going to do all I can to make it rain on his parade.

Yeah he’s a wanta be.  He doesn’t hunt much and when he does it’s 90% trespassing. One of those that if he can get in on 5 acres then he hunts everything around it. Exactly the case here. It doesn’t make sense to me why people are this way but lots of things in this crazier by the day world we live in don’t make sense to me. I think he just happened to be in the place next to us when we were hunting. I don’t think he was hunting more likely baiting hogs. That little place doesn’t hold hogs much. In all the years I’ve hunted down there I think we bayed a hog in there 2-3 times and they ran in there they weren’t bedding there nor did they stay there. I know the family that owns it. They are good people. I’m gonna do my best to that he doesn’t get back in there for starters.

Right you are High Water!

Desertdog, he’s just a part time local. Lives in Houston but is here a good bit because of some ties he has to some folks here. The dog had my tracking collar on but the dog belonged to a good friend of mine that I hunt with a good bit. Myself, my buddy, and my nephew all grew up here and if there’s someone that doesn’t know us or that we don’t know, that means they just moved here. Word got out quick and when it got put on Facebook people started thinking, looking, and talking. The guy that took him is for sure CS and family of his girlfriend confirmed it. Word has it that he took several thousand dollars from his girlfriend’s mother’s life insurance and bought bullies. Yeah she shouldn’t have given it but what kinda fella would’ve taken it? Guess we know what kind!

Real glad to hear you got him back Thomas. What a lowlife POS to steal another mans dog. Sounds like a nice dog and he sure does look good! No way he wouldn’t have ended up getting noticed by someone else if the fella tried to keep him
