I’m not sure I wouldn’t set up a pulley system across a stock tank and swim the heck out of him. My old yonder female had to have a leg amputated and she still got it done. I hope he recovers, I hope you don’t have to retire him, BUT…..at least you know what he is hunting wise so that you can use him as a stud if you need or want to. He’ll for sure make a pretty yard ornament if that’s what you do with him. Good luck
